How to find which theme a Nuvemshop store uses (3 methods)
Step-by-step ways to identify any Nuvemshop store's theme: with the detector, from the page source (LS.theme) and from theme asset paths — plus the confusing internal names.

Spotted a great-looking Nuvemshop (Tiendanube) store and want to know which theme it runs? There are three ways to find out, from fastest to most technical. All of them use only public information your browser already receives when it opens the store.
Method 1: use the theme detector (10 seconds)
The quickest route is to paste the store address into the TemaScan detector. It loads the homepage, reads the public code and shows you:
- the theme name (even when the internal code differs from the marketing name);
- whether the theme is free or paid, and who built it;
- whether the theme's code was customized by a developer;
- apps and integrations such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, live chat and reviews.
It works with custom domains (e.g. mystore.com.br) and with platform addresses (.lojavirtualnuvem.com.br and .mitiendanube.com). Type just the store handle with no dot and the detector tries both platform subdomains for you.
Method 2: search the page source for LS.theme
Every Nuvemshop store on a classic theme loads a small JavaScript object called LS. Inside it there is a theme record:
- Open the store on a computer.
- Press Ctrl+U (on Mac, Cmd+Option+U) to view the source.
- Press Ctrl+F and search for
LS.theme.
You will find something like:
LS.theme = {
code: "rio",
name: "Rio",
custom: false,
};codeis the theme's internal identifier;nameis its display name;customtells you whether the theme files were edited via FTP. When it istrue, the store started from an official theme but the design may have been heavily modified.
Across the stores we analyzed, roughly 4 in 10 had custom: true — so you are often looking at an official theme that a developer has extended.Method 3: read the theme folder from asset URLs
If LS.theme is missing, search the source for /themes/. The theme's images and CSS live at paths like:
https://dcdn-us.mitiendanube.com/stores/001/017/342/themes/amazonas/...The word after /themes/ is the theme code (here, amazonas). Ignore the common folder, which holds shared files such as the logo. The digits before it are the store ID (001017342 → 1017342).
Watch out for internal names
Two popular themes ship with a code that differs from their marketing name:
The rest use their own names: Rio, Amazonas, Recife, Ipanema and so on.
What if the theme is not in the catalog?
Sometimes the code matches nothing in the official theme list. That usually means:
- an exclusive theme an agency built for that brand; or
- a legacy theme that has left the catalog, like Patagonia, which still works on stores that have it but no longer accepts new installs.
In those cases the detector shows the name the store itself reports and flags it as an "unlisted theme".
Is the store really on Nuvemshop?
If none of these signals show up, the store may be on another platform. Use the platform check — it recognizes Shopify, VTEX, WooCommerce, Tray and more, and for Shopify stores it also shows the theme.
Recap
- Fastest: paste the address into the detector.
- Manual: Ctrl+U → search
LS.theme→ read thecode. - Plan B: search
/themes/and read the folder name. - Remember: new_linkedman = Simple and style = Trend.
