Free vs. paid Nuvemshop themes: is a premium theme worth it?
Every free Nuvemshop theme, what the paid Flex and Zenit Flex themes add, and when spending R$799 makes sense.

One of Nuvemshop's advantages is that the vast majority of its themes are free. In the current catalog only two themes are paid — and both are built by a partner, FlexCommerce.
Every free theme
The free themes available today are: Rio, Amazonas, Recife, Simple, Toluca, Brasilia, Lima, Morelia, Cali, Baires, Atlántico, Idea, Cubo, Bahia, Uyuni, Trend and Ipanema.
All of them include the essentials: a banner slideshow, Instagram posts, category banners, video, a WhatsApp button, shipping calculator, newsletter sign-up, search with suggestions, and customizable colors and fonts.
The paid themes
| Flex | Zenit Flex | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | R$799 | R$799 |

| Editor | Classic | New sections editor |

Flex stands out for its configurable product card (grid, carousel, horizontal, discount pricing, quick buy) and a richer product page with custom badges, a WhatsApp inquiry button and testimonials.
Zenit Flex brings FlexCommerce's premium look to the new drag-and-drop editor, with unlimited sections and independent blocks.
When paying is worth it
A paid theme makes sense when:
- your store already sells consistently, so small conversion gains cover the cost;
- you need specific product-page features the free themes lack;
- you want a ready-made premium look without hiring a developer.
If you are just starting out, it probably is not worth it. Start with a mature free theme like Rio or Recife and invest in photography and content — that moves sales more than the theme does.
The middle ground: Ipanema
Ipanema is free and uses the same new editor as Zenit Flex: unlimited sections, blocks you can move and duplicate, animations and per-section CSS. For many merchants it delivers premium-theme flexibility at no cost.
